Dear Colleagues,


On behalf of the Society of Forensic and Clinical Toxicology and the Organizing Committee, we invite you participate in the 2nd Regional Meeting of The TIAFT to be held in Antalya, Turkey from the 30th October –2nd of November, 2016.

The main theme of the meeting is to point out the importance of forensic toxicology in a large number of fields aiming to communicate and establish links to new research ideas. The Meeting will create opportunities for participants to present and share experiences, explore new directions and debate topics with experts throughout the world. During the Congress, you can find the chance to combine recent knowledge and the latest research findings.

The science will be complemented by a social program not only to make delegates feel welcome but also to make them experience the history and hospitality of Antalya. Antalya is located in the South of Turkey and inherits historical traces of great civilizations as it has been a host town to many civilizations during history and natural beauties.

We cordially invite all those interested in attending the Conference to make the meeting an event to remember.

All abstracts must follow the instructions listed below and be submitted online (www.tiaftturkey2016.org) by 5 September 2016. After this date, abstracts will be evaluated by referee. Acceptance letters will be sent for the abstracts which are accepted.

 Abstract Submission details

  • Abstracts must be written in English and should be thoroughly checked for spelling and grammar.
  • Submissions should be original work.
  • The presenting author must submit the work.
  • Submissions must not exceed 400 words (excluding the title, authors and affiliations).
  • Abstracts should include the headings Introduction, Method, Result & Discussions and Conclusion.
  • All abbreviations must be spelt out on first use.
  • To be accepted, authors must be registered.
  • Use references (e.g. Smith 1999), only if necessary
  • Selected submissions will be published.

Presentation type

Presentation types include:

  • Oral presentation
  • Poster presentation: A printed poster displayed on a poster board at the conference and presented during catering breaks.

Please note, only a limited number of submissions nominated for an oral presentation will be selected for oral presentation by the review committee. Submissions that are not selected for oral presentation will still be considered for poster presentation.

Oral Presentations

  • Oral presentations must be presented in 10 minutes. (including discussion)

Poster Presentations

  • Poster size: 70 x 50 cm (height x width)
  • Organising Comittee decides the poster presentations’ place and method in the program.
  • The text and the symbols on the poster must be readable at one meter distance.
  • The person who will present the poster must be remarked by underlining their name.

Terms and conditions

The submission of an abstract indicates an understanding of the following rules for participation in the 2nd regional TIAFTturkey2016 meeting:

  • All author(s) approve submitting this work for presentation.
  • The author(s) transfer(s) all copyright ownership of the named submission to the 2nd regional TIAFTturkey2016 meeting.
